Formation

Learn toward faithful engagement

Anthrovia is built for reflection, discipleship, and thoughtful engagement, not just collecting facts.

Mission

Anthrovia is a living, searchable guide to the world’s peoples and cultures, designed to transform decades of carefully preserved knowledge into an interactive space for learning, discipleship, and thoughtful engagement.

Rather than functioning as a static reference, Anthrovia invites users to explore humanity through connected questions, contextual insights, and relational understanding. It is built to support not only knowledge acquisition, but reflection, growth, and long-term formation.

Vision

For decades, knowledge about the world’s peoples has existed primarily as static records, preserved faithfully but accessed narrowly. Anthrovia builds on that foundation and carries it forward into a new form.

We are creating a living, intelligent guide to humanity where users can move fluidly between maps, populations, traditions, and sources, gaining understanding rather than merely collecting information.

Anthrovia exists to support discipleship for a new generation, especially for those who feel disconnected from traditional structures or who will never meaningfully engage with antiquated tools and static websites.

What Anthrovia is built for
  • Exploring people groups, languages, histories, and contexts through natural questions
  • Supporting thoughtful discipleship, reflection, and long-term formation
  • Making preserved knowledge accessible to a digital-first generation
  • Connecting maps, profiles, and sources into a relational learning experience
Acknowledgment

Anthrovia builds on publicly available ethnographic and people group data preserved and shared by previous generations of researchers and practitioners. Portions of the foundational data used in early development were sourced from materials released under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike license.

This project began as a collaborative effort and has since continued independently, developing new structures, classification systems, and expanded contextual insights.

Anthrovia represents an ongoing effort to transform static datasets into a living, relational system designed for exploration, understanding, and long-term formation.
